First blog post :)

This is the post excerpt.

To start off with a little bit about me. I’m a 24 year old average girl working full time as a Labor and Delivery nurse in Atlanta Georgia. I enjoy traveling, hiking, hammocking, live music, and connecting with people from all over the world. I travel as often as I can with my limited amount of time off of work. But I make the best of every single minute of it.

I started this blog because I love traveling. I want others to get the chance to travel too. So I’m hoping this blog offers something to others. Whether it’s inspiration, trip ideas, things to do while traveling, or places to stay. I hope it offers something. I’m not sure what yet. But I’m convinced if everyone traveled the world would be a better place. People would have a better appreciation for what they have and more respect for others. Doesn’t that sound ideal? I have been very blessed and gotten many opportunities to travel. I’m going to share my experiences with whoever wants to listen. So happy reading future travelers đŸ™‚

Why Travel?

Why travel? Sure you’re comfortable with your life, your friends, your family, the money you make, the job you have. That’s great! But there’s more to life than that. There’s something nice about being comfortable, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But I want to grow. I want to learn. I want to get outside my comfort zone because I know I’ll grow because of it. I know I will see things I have never seen before and get experiences that I will never forget. This is what it’s all about.

You don’t have to by a $800 plane ticket across the ocean to start the traveling experience. Get it your car with your friends and go to the next city, the national parks, the woods, anywhere! Get out of your comfort zone! Talk to strangers, get lonely, be in the moment, get awkward, have fun, be yourself, make best friends in a day. You never know what you’re missing out on until you start. Once you start, if you’re anything like me you won’t be able to stop.

When you travel you get the good, the bad, and the ugly. Others only see the pictures people post or the quick stories they tell. But traveling is so much more than that. You are completely engulfed in every moment. Nothing else back home matters. Your problems disappear. You realize how lucky you are to be here in this moment experiencing this. It’s hard to describe. But it is by far the best feeling I’ve every experienced.

You realized that there is a different/better way to live. Life isn’t about how much money you have, how much stuff you have, what car you drive, etc. Life is about your friends, family, and experiences. Make the best of the life you have. Don’t be jealous of other because what they have or what they have done. This is your life. Make the best of it. If you get the chance to travel, just go. Don’t look back. Just go. I promise you won’t regret it.
